YUP! So I made it, but I did one better. Meet:



Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 bananas, mashed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Stir in peanut butter, bananas, flour and baking soda until blended. Fold in walnuts. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove to a wire rack to cool.

(it's still in the oven at the moment, so when it comes out, I'll take a picture! - and let you know how Matt loves it. He's a big fan of peanut butter.)

Yeah, so I changed the layout again... and it took me the better part of 3 hours, only because I made the banner from scratch and I don't know why I chose polka dots, but I did, and it took FOREVER. I also picked out a few new fonts (that took a while) and then I had to figure out how to actually USE them... yeah I could be reading... but I decide to invest my time in something I'll change by Christmas (at least. If I keep it till then, I'll be impressed...)
Let it be known that when I do change it, there is NO way I'm doing hand made polkadots again... not on paint anyway... I need a better program for this sort of thing...

It just rained like CRAZY (scared the kitties), but my plants really needed it.

I think I'm gonna make some banana bread with my brown bananas! If I do, I'll put it up here.

And It's All Right, All Right With Me

Summer is here, we are working SO MUCH. I barely have time to go to the beach or sit down and read. But I have done a few things on my list since I last posted.

I read a new book (it's really short).


The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. This book will change your life. Basically it tells you the four rules that will help you become a better person and live better.
It's in no way preachy or demeaning. It's more spiritual than christian-y. I loved it and it really helps me deal with life better and see it in a whole new way.
Would you recommend this book:
Absolutely. It's a life changer for sure. Even if you skim the chapters, the basic idea is really interesting.

Drank A New Wine:

Pink! It's a sparkling wine. It's kind of rose colored, but I don't think it's a sparkling white zin. It's sweet at first and then it gets a little tart, but it's nice. It's a good 'sit around and chat while you sip' kind of wine.

Painted a picture!!?

My Cape Hattaras Acrylic painting!

So my friend and I were bored one day, and she wanted to try out her oil paints. Now, oil paints scare the life outta me, so I grabbed my acrylics and met her on her porch outside. We listened to my Love Song Pandora play list and painted for hours. It was really relaxing. After I finished though, I found a lot of things I want to change to the painting (it's really flat looking mainly- add some shading and depth to it all), but the bad thing about acrylics are that when you go over it, it just sits on top. So right now, it's sitting in our OBX themed guest room waiting for me to think about finishing it, but I don't know if I even want to get into it at this point. It looks alright.
Next crafternoon we're gonna try crocheting (also on my list!!)
It's freaking hot down here and WAY too humid!!
