11 weeks

Total weight gain: I have most likely re-gained since liking food again and the whole Easter candy thing.

How big is baby?: The size of a LIME! What!? When did it get that big!?

Maternity clothes?: Nothing this week again since the bloat has gone down. Soon enough!

Stretch marks?: None yet.

Symptoms? I'm still tired a lot, but I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, sometimes I'll get bursts to clean the house but then I get tired at like 8:30 still... Come on 2nd Tri!

Sleep?: still an early bed time and I napped today, but I'm napping less often lately.

Best moment this week?: went to my friends wedding and cried like 5 times because it so beautiful.

Movement?: Nope.

How far along?: 11 weeks

Food cravings?: French fries are still amazing but I'm also very happy to eat strawberries and salad. I had a whole pint of strawberrys by myself.

Labor signs?: Nope.

Belly button in or out?: In.

What I miss: bubbly- the toast for the wedding made me miss it a lot.

What I'm nervous about: not too much this week, except I jumped around at the wedding for an hour or so, but we seem to be ok.

What I am looking forward to: we're going up to MD this weekend!!!! We are telling our friends and dads (moms have to wait another week). I'm so excited to tell!!

Milestone: first Easter? First wedding? Lol not much this week.

Random Excited Blurbs

I'm so excited I have to post about this. Ok, so I'm a pretty healthy eater (with the occasional guiltless moment here and there), but I'm growing a baby in here now so I have to be extra mindful. Not that I have had any say in the matter lately. The inch and a half long baby in my uterus is doing the decision making food wise. I'm telling you this because the last month has been 'CakeSugarCarbsOKSaltCrunchyCarbsEwwSALAD?!UGH' like crazy. BUT!! Yesterday I had two helpings of salad and today I finished a whole carton of strawberries by myself. I'm feeling so much better about healthy foods again. I still don't mind the occasional reeses egg, but this is exciting news to me!

I'm also ready for the highly promised 2nd Tri energy. I took a 2 hour nap after work again today... I really wouldn't mind using that time scrubbing my floor with a toothbrush as long as I had that energy!

Also, T minus 2 weeks until the whole world knows about this lilguy! I won't have to worry about my friend's 5 year old slipping up and telling anyone or worry about looking like a slacker at work for not carrying heavy things. I'm ready for 2nd Tri!

10 Weeks

Total weight gain: I think I lost the two pounds I gained from my stupid apetite being so picky lately.

How big is baby?: The size of a prune

Maternity clothes?: Nothing this week, but I can't wait to start wearing the jeans

Stretch marks?: None yet.

Symptoms? oh man. I've been SO TIRED. I take 2-4 hour naps every day. I'm washing my face twice a day to keep my skin from rebeling and I'm drinking water/peeing a lot.

Sleep?: all the time. the one day I didn't nap, I slept for 13 straight hours.

Best moment this week?: Two of my favorite regulars came into the restaurant this week and looked at my belly asking if anything was new... so i said... "maaayybbeee" and they were sooo excited!

Movement?: Nope.

How far along?: 10 weeks

Food cravings?: oh the saltiest, crunchies, greasiest food possible. fish and chips seems to fit the bill... lots of french fries. and water.

Labor signs?: Nope.

Belly button in or out?: In.

What I miss: I miss margaritas a lot lately, everyone seems to be having them as their bar special since summer is on it's way.

What I'm nervous about: carying heavy things at work. I'm trying not to look like a slacker, since no one knows yet, but I can't lift some of the real heavy stuff anymore.

What I am looking forward to: I can't wait to be in the 2nd tri. I can't wait for everyone to know, and to start showing! Also... I can't wait until we get a computer so I can blog without being on my stupid phone...

Milestone: the weeks have hit double digits!!

9 Weeks!

Total weight gain: at the doctors office, I weighed 2 more lbs than I did at 5 weeks.

How big is baby?: The size of an olive and measuring .89 inches (97 percentile!)

Maternity clothes?: I'm not a fan of jeans anymore, I'm wearing a lot of yoga pants and my stretchy skirts because I'm so bloaty.

Stretch marks?: None yet.

Symptoms? Just a bit of cramping today but that could be because of the ultrasound/pap I got yesterday. Oh but the funny part is, Matt has more symptoms than I do! His nose is super sensitive.

Sleep?: The same, maybe I wake up to pee once a night.

Best moment this week?: We got an ultrasound!! So we saw and heard the heartbeat which was so amazing. I haven't stopped staring at the sonogram since we got it.

Movement?: Nope.

How far along?: 9 weeks

Food cravings?: Less on the sweets lately. Gatorade today.

Labor signs?: Nope.

Belly button in or out?: In.

What I miss: I miss wine. A lot.

What I'm nervous about: Had a little more cramping today, but I just need to drink more water, it's getting hot down here!

What I am looking forward to: It's in a few weeks, but I'm really excited to tell me family and friends!

Milestone: Heartbeat and first sonagram!!

Look at that little adorable baby!

Spring!!

Hands down, the best season, and here's why:

The windows are open and the sweet breeze is rolling in. Let the curtains fly and the birds chirp.

I love planting flowers and veggies in pots or gardens. The smell of soil and the colors it brings to the porch is so peacful.

This kind of goes hand in hand with the first one, but I love driving with the windows down and music blasting down the beach road while the saltwater blows in:

The restaurant opens! That means a non-stop cash flow and free breakfast every morning.

The sun is out more finally, ugh I hate how short the days are in the winter. It's almost 8 by the time the sun is all the way down.

Oh yeah, and my birthday is in May, so it wins. And so does this cupcake.

Spring has indeed sprung down here on the beach, and I am so excited about it.

I took this picture on the beach the other afternoon with my awesome hipstimatic camera app!

Work it!

Today was the first day back at work! It's truly like riding a bike. It felt like we never had 5 months off. (It's usually 4 months, but the restaurant was waiting for the new carpet to come in and it only just arrived on Tuesday.) I was glad to be up and out of the house. I missed the food and knowing I have cash in my pocket. Plus, I felt like I had some kind of purpose to my days, instead of staying in my PJs all day in front of the TV.

It was one of the hardest winters we've had since we moved to the beach since we spent so much on the honeymoon this past September. At least when we spent a lot on the wedding, we got tons back as gifts, so we used that to get by. By the end, we were scraping by on dollar store shampoo/condition (ughhh- my hair HATES it), ramen noodles and frozen foods. We have big plans for this next winter. We plan to save up enough for rent for the months we have off, as well as stocking up on all the essentials (tp, paper towels, laundry detergent, decent shampoo, trash bags, soaps) that sort of thing so we don't have to worry about having those to work into our budget. Not to mention, we won't have to leave the house for every little thing since it might be hard to get out once we have a little one.

I really can't wait until we can buy a new computer. I have to either blog via phone which is totally not as hip as it sounds, or use my friends computer which sounds pretty lame "hey, can I use your computer so I can blog *pushes up glasses*". I've been meaning to make a spring time post, since it's my favorite season and I've done all the others. I also really want to buy an amazing new camera, but we'll see how that goes.

On the baby-growing front, I'm 8 weeks, 5 days today and (between not running as much and drinking soda like it's my job) I unbutton my jeans when I eat. I usually wear my jeans pretty snug, but honestly, I bought a Belly Band, and I love it. I've been pretty symptom free minus the Dolly Parton-sized boobs I now have. I just have to eat often to keep from getting nauseous (which I do anyways). We go in for our first appointment on Monday! I was already promised an ultrasound so I'm really looking forward to hearing Baby B's heartbeat or maybe seeing them for the first time! It will be nice since it seems like nothing has changed except for the fact that when I peed on those HPT's it read something like this

Photobucket

Oh, and by Monday, my ute is going to be the size of a grapefruit. A. Grapefruit. Just a fun fact.

8 weeks!

Total weight gain: well my running buddies have been busy this week and I've been drinking ginger ale like its my job... So I may have gained a pound or two...

How big is baby?: The size of a raspberry

Maternity clothes?: I got a belly band, bit I haven't used it yet. I also got a sleep bra (no underwire nursing type bra) so when I lay on my side my boobs don't scream at me.

Stretch marks?: None yet.

Symptoms? I had a pretty bad few days of nausea last week, but it's getting better. I'm still tired all the time.

Sleep?: The same, but work starts up on Thursday, so that means waking up at 5:30 again!

Best moment this week?: We saw Idina Menzel on Wednesday! I had to pee a few times on the way there, but the show was amazing.

Movement?: Nope.

How far along?: 8 weeks!

Food cravings?: I've been drinking tons of milk and I've been really wanting sweet things, mostly cake or cookies.

Labor signs?: Nope.

Belly button in or out?: In.

What I miss: I still miss sushi, and margaritas

What I'm nervous about: Matt and I helped move his moms room around and as I was pushing the bed with my knee, I felt a twinge and sme cramping which made me nervous, but we got better. :)

What I am looking forward to: next Monday is our first appointment!! And work starts this week, so money and breakfast and purpose will re-enter my life.

Milestone: I don't think I hit any this past week.
